Aleyson Bickley
Chief Executive Officer & Principal Consultant
Aleyson Bickley is a seasoned federal acquisition professional and former DHS Contracting Officer with extensive experience leading high-impact research and development initiatives across the Department of Homeland Security. As Chief Executive Officer of Bickley Group, she brings deep expertise in federal procurement strategy and small business engagement to help clients successfully navigate and compete in the government marketplace.
At DHS, Aleyson led the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program’s procurements and supported the Long Range Broad Agency Announcement (LRBAA) initiative, advancing mission innovation through strategic industry partnerships. Her portfolio included complex R&D and technology-driven contracts, spanning the full acquisition lifecycle from planning and strategy development to award execution and performance oversight.
Before joining DHS, Aleyson supported the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) within the Department of the Navy, where she contributed to major defense acquisition programs focused on naval combat systems integration and modernization.
Drawing on experience across both government and industry, Aleyson has built a reputation for translating complex federal processes into practical, results-driven strategies. At Bickley Group, she leads with a mission-focused approach, empowering small businesses with the insight, structure, and strategy needed to thrive in the federal marketplace.
Lance Bickley
President (Advisory)
Lance Bickley is a national security executive and U.S. Marine with over two decades of leadership experience in defense strategy, operations, and interagency integration. As a senior advisor and subject matter expert in national security and defense, Lance supports coordination across the broader defense and security enterprise, helping align strategic objectives among complex operational stakeholders.
As President (Advisory) of Bickley Group, Lance oversees the firm’s organizational operations and business administration. He provides high-level guidance on internal processes, workflow modernization, and enterprise planning — ensuring the company’s back-end infrastructure, resource management, and day-to-day operations function smoothly.
Throughout his career, Lance has held key leadership positions across the federal defense and national-security enterprise, advising on major investments, interagency coordination, and long-range strategic planning. His work has centered on building alignment among complex organizations to advance mission priorities and enhance operational effectiveness.
In the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, Lance has commanded and advised units in Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Indo-Pacific, consistently bridging the gap between operational realities and strategic policymaking.
At Bickley Group, Lance brings executive-level insight and disciplined operational leadership which strengthen processes, improve organizational efficiency, and support the company’s strategic growth with the rigor and perspective gained from decades of federal and defense experience. Lance does not presently engage with government officials, clients, or external stakeholders.
